CHECKPOINT [Chec93] can be regarded as improved version of SPQR/20. Compared to SPQR/20 it offers various new features:
- The tool comprises the experience of more than 4700 software projects. The graphical presentation of the results has been improved. Three different measurement methods (Function Points, Feature Points, LOC) are selectable for the evaluation of the software project. The results can be converted from one method to another.
- CHECKPOINT recognizes 200 different types of software projects.
CHECKPOINT is applicable for both product and process evaluation.
