Description:

The COSAM Tool was developed at the University of Magdeburg. The Tool serves the evaluation of the customer satisfaction with the development maintenance and use of software.

How to use the application:

Applet "CalculateSatis" evaluates the customer satisfaction on the basis of three different models. Applet proceeds from a customer opinion poll with which according to the multi-attribute beginning the satisfaction and the weights of the individual evaluation features were entered. For the given 21 evaluation features an entry of the data on a five-stage univariate scale is presupposed. There applet serves only the calculation and it is freely accessible without user authorizing.

Applet "CosamAdjust" offers the administrator the possibility to change the allocation table entries of the tool. Adjusting changes the allocation of metric values to satisfaction values and has thereby direct influence on the analysis with the applet ValuationMetric. The adjustment of the scopes to satisfaction values can be changed thereby for each evaluation feature separately executed. Since the tool is equipped with a table of classification already, the adjustment is only if necessary. The modifications in tables of classification are stored on the server.

Applet "CollectMetric" serves the entry of the metric of the COSAM tool. The metrics are entered thereby by the applet and transferred afterwards to the server and stored there. The data form the basis for the evaluation of the customer satisfaction with the applet ValuationMetric. With the help of tables of classification corresponding satisfaction values are assigned to metric values.

Applet "ValuationMetric" represents the attempt to use metrics of the development, maintenance and use of software for the evaluation of the customer satisfaction. Applet consists of 21 evaluation features and three models for the calculation of the customer satisfaction. The special feature consists of the fact that based on the stored metrics conclutions on the customer satisfaction which can be expected one pulls. With the help of adaptable tables of classification the allocation of metric values to satisfaction values becomes possible.

Known Problems:

Because it is a client-server application at first you must install a server to use the COSAM Tool.
