Application domain: evaluated software measurement

Description:

DATRIX [Robi91] assesses software quality based on an experience data base and a set of predefined metrics. The tool's conception of measurement concentrates on two aspects:

  1. control flow metrics:
    • size and complexity
    • testability
  2. metrics for the readability of the code (e.g. length of identifiers, ratio of LOC to comments etc)
The experience data base contains recommendations for the minimum and maximum of metric values. DATRIX is compatible to numerous data bases.

Supported languages: C, FORTRAN, Pascal

Special features:
  • experience data base
  • metrics for the readability of source code
Requirements: UNIX / X Window system
