Description:

METKIT (MEtrics Tool-KIT, [Metk92]) was developed as part of an ESPRIT project. The components of METKIT are not metric tools in a conventional sense but programs for the explanation of selected software metrics and measurement approaches. They also comprise exercises and a bibliography for the field of software measurement. METKIT is structured in the following sections each of them being represented by a "tool":

• experiments in software engineering
• the principles of software measurement and measurement frameworks
