Application domain: evaluated software measurement

Description:

The development of QUALMS (Quality Analysis and Measurement was closely connected to the METKIT project [Metk92]. QUALMS evaluates control flow graphs that must be specified using an integrated language similar to EBNF. Metrics application in the QUALMS conception is not restricted to measurement but also includes a comparison to recommended values stored in an experience data base. Usually minimum and maximum values are quoted in the final evaluation of the control flow structure. At the same time QUALMS assigns a score to each partial result. Thus measurement results that do not exceed the recommended limitations will obtain the best score.

Supported Languages: programming and program design languages: JOVIAL, C, FORTRAN, Pascal, Kindra, Z, LOTOS, Modula-2, CORAL

Special features:

  • specification language for control flow graphs + presentation
  • experience data base

Requirements: MS Windows

QUALMS: evaluation of measurement results
