Application domain: Web measurement

Description:

The WebSpector tool analyses a predefined set of Web sites (desribed by a list of URLs) in two directions

  • the occurence of given key words in the HTML text formulated by using of logical operators,
  • the test of the content analysis in different time frequences.
The tool is helpful for observation the changing rates or update frequence of choosen Web documents.

Implementating language: Java

How to use the application:

You must unzip the downloaded file and translate the Java files by the javac precompiler.
Then you should start with the main component, the Webspector java class.
